Application Guidelines

The Community Foundation of Ardmore was established to provide financial assistance to qualifying nonprofit organizations that are engaged in charitable activities in southern Oklahoma. Grants for specific projects and general operating expenses are considered.

Qualifying organizations are those located in, or primarily serving, Carter, Garvin, Jefferson, Johnston, Love, Marshall, Murray, and Stephens Counties in Oklahoma. The organizations must be recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization or a city government or subdivision thereof.

Requests from individuals are not eligible for consideration.

Areas of Interest

Grants in the following areas of interest are considered:

  • Youth Development
    Programs aimed at benefiting and advancing the development of youth residing in the Foundation’s service area
  • Social Services
    Programs providing services to the under-resourced, low-income, homeless, or impaired
  • Civic Improvements
    Beautification of communities, preserving the environment and natural areas, construction of community parks or sports facilities
  • Cultural Enhancement
    Projects that provide, promote, and sustain access to the visual and performing arts
  • Education
    Programs that advance the education of local residents of all ages
  • Health
    Healthcare delivery, preventative and rehabilitative programs, health related capital projects
